Bible Reading :)

Today I just want to encourage you to read the Bible. I know it's a struggle at the beginning, but if you give it a chance you will find it is a living book. After I pulled away from God, my daily Bible reading was the only thing I retained and through His Word God drew me with loving-kindness. Now I can say I love reading my Bible and it is no longer lip-service.

New Blog

Hello there!
As you may have noticed, I have deleted all of the posts from my original blog except for five (the message about the cheese danish just had to stay because it is a very important warning :D). The reason for that is that this past year God has been teaching me a new way of living and I felt that my old one (along with my blog) was too frivolous. This new way is much happier, but it is not the silly kind of happiness.
I hope through this new blog I can encourage and lift up my brothers and sisters in Christ, and be a light to those who aren't. I am so looking forward to this journey I am embarking on. There's a new feeling in the air and I know great things are waiting to happen.
May we toil in His service and His service alone,
Laura

Equally Skilled

It's been a while since I posted. This song basically sums up everything, my thoughts and my moods, since the last post, and it was especially true this past Tuesday.

Equally Skilled
How miserable I am
I feel like a fruitpicker who arrived here
after the harvest
There's nothing here at all
There’s nothing at all here that could placate my hunger

The godly people are all gone
There's not one honest soul left alive here on the planet
We're all murderers and theives
Setting traps here for even our brothers

And both of our hands
Are equally skilled
At doing evil
Equally skilled
At bribing the judges
Equally skilled
At perverting justice
Both of our hands
Both of our hands

The day of justice comes
And is even now swiftly arriving
Don't trust anyone at all
Not your best friend or even your wife

For the son hates the father
The daughter despises even her mother
Look! Your enemies are right
Right in the room of your very household

And both of their hands
Are equally skilled

No, don't gloat over me
For though I fall, though I fall
I will rise again

Though I sit here in darkness
The Lord, the Lord alone
He will be my light

I will be patient as the Lord
Punishes me for the wrongs
I've done against him

After that he'll take my case
Bringing me to light and to justice
For all I have suffered

And both of his hands are equally skilled
At ruining evil
Equally skilled
At judging the judges
Equally skilled
At administering justice
both of his hands
both of his hands are equally skilled
At showing me mercy
Equally skilled
At loving the loveless
Equally skilled
At administering justice
Both of his hands
Both of his hands
